The five finalists for the Mies van der Rohe Award 2015 were announced. The European competition of contemporary architecture biennial organized by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe achieved the stage of the selection of 5 projects.
The projects selected by the European Commission and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe are the Cantina Antinori, in San Casciano in Val di Pesa (Florence), by the office Archea Associati, the Philharmonic of Szczecin, Poland, designed by Barozzi Veiga, the Ravensburg Art Museum, in Ravensburg (Germany) realised by Lederer Ragnarsdóttir Oei, the Danish Maritime Museum inHelsingør (Denmark), project of BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group and the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre of the London School of Economics designed by the office O’Donnell + Tuomey.
During the next weeks, the jury will visit the five buildings and then they will announce the winner during a special event at the Mies van der Rohe Barcelona Pavilion  (May 8, 2015).
