The exhibition presents a review of the original project (drawings, sketches and old photographs), belonging to Fondo Andreani (Iuav University of Venice Archive) and other public and privates collections, plus a series of sculptures and pictures by photographer Maurizio Montagna. Aldo Andreani (1887-1971) was born in Mantova. Is in Milan where he collects surprising and ambitious projects, in which the invention of a new language is combined with the Mannerist and Baroque lessons. The work by Giulio Romano definetly influenced the work of Andreani: Palazzo Te is therefore the natural scenario for this exhibition. Aldo Andreani lives on the edge, being inside a solid disciplinary and multi-faceted culture, modulated between architecture and other plastic and decorative arts. The exhibition shows in a chronological order, the architect work with six thematic areas, the multitude of his expressive and architectonical research.
