The Dome Lamp, designed by Benedetta Tagliabue for the Spanish lighting company Bover, let us travel a journey through time, revisiting the history of architecture through the complex shapes of the Basilica Mercè in Barcelona, the Pantheon in Roma, the dome of Santa Maria del Fiore in Firenze and the dome of San Giorgio in Venice.
The insipration in shapes comes form the domes of the utopian geodesic world of R. Buckminster Fuller, becoming a double dome, towards the sky and towards the land.

The lamp projects a light with strong sculptural characteristics and the light itself becomes a sculpture. Light creates a delicate play of enlightenment obtainable uniquely through this lamp: Bover developed with Benedetta Tagliabue the creation of a product with a more artistic approach and a less industrial look. This lighting sculpture is completely handmade and it is entirely produced in the Bover Barcelona HQ. More than 170 big and small wood fragments are wisely intertwined and sewed one by one to end up in such a jigsaw puzzle.

Technical description: Big format interior pendant made of more than 170 puzzled wood pieces in beech veneer finish. The LED light is above the wooden structure to illuminate throughout the open and diffused portions casting beautiful shadow patterns on surfaces below. Due to the sculptural nature and requirement to have LED lamping above the fixture, a minimum height of 120cm/47.24in is required. Dome is in 3 sizes: 180, 90 and 60 cm.
