Conceived and designed by the designer Giuseppe Maurizio Scutellà, in collaboration with the technical department of the Brescia-based company, the new Cup collection by Francesconi Architectural Light is the result of intensive months of work, both in terms of design and engineering.

The collection is declined in bollard, poles and applique. The pole is not a classic pole, but a versatile passe-partout, characterized by optical motors and different powers, suitable to be housed on different types of support, while the applique - a striking and essential fixture - easily adapts to wall installations, both in urban and non-urban areas. Both available with light beam 360° and 160°.

All the applications are the result of the precise need to combine form and function, just like it happens in architectural projects. CUP’s minimal design - with the absence of visible screws - characterizes the collection as a bright shell where details blend together in a single identity character. The LED board is designed ad hoc, as well as the made-on-purpose PMMA lens. This is how a dual goal was achieved: identity design and a unique lighting performance. Moreover the collection stands out not only for its essential lines, but also for the high quality of the materials involved, with low environmental impact, whose recyclability stands for the 85% of the total material used.

The lens, with an extra clear tempered glass diffuser, guarantees a total uniformity of illumination on the ground without any shadow and a product efficiency of 80 lm/ watt, in line with the most strict energy efficiency requirements. Its flexibility of application makes it a very versatile product, suitable to every kind of environment, thanks to its elegant shapes and refined finishes, like anthracite and aluminium grey colour.

Cup is particularly suitable for private and public outdoor environments, thanks to the IK10 resistance grade, which guarantees maximum impact resistance, the IP66 protection system, which protects the lighting fixtures from water and dust infiltration, and the tested operating temperature range between -20 °C and +50 °C. Cup, not just a temporary emotion, but a wide range of well-structured and reliable applications in any installation context.
