A cantilevered viewing platform made of weather-resistant steel is what Snøhetta created for the Perspektivenweg trail in the Austrian Alps. A mountain trail consisting of 10 small architectural interventions for a hiking trail in the Nordkette mountain range above the city of Innsbruck, Austria.
Called the Perspektivenweg, which means "Perspective Trail", this 1.7-mile panorama trail starts at 1,905 metres above sea level at the Seegrube station in Nordkette.

The designers have thought of an element that seems to "grow out of the ground". Made of corten steel - a type of weather steel - with a wire mesh floor, the cantilevered platform offers visitors a unique view.
