As every year Area deals with an important contemporary city – protagonist of urban renewal and architectural renovation. This issue will be about Moscow, the symbol of the urban emancipation of the East area metropolis and their claim on the world stage. Moscow has been involved for years in the metamorphosis of a huge metropolitan area, where industrial – abandoned – areas are replaced by works of conversion and renovation including those of both archistars and important Russian firms.
