Menichetti+Caldarelli Architetti  renovated the interior space of an existing house in Gubbio historical center. The project develops on three levels, connected with a central staircase which distributes all the different spaces. On the ground floor take place a kitchen and a dining room in bio-mortar pavement, a living room on the first floor and bedrooms on the second floor. The staircase and the ground floor volumes are defined by cuts and straight lines in order to hide the concrete frame structure, shaping volumes and new perspectives. The different functions follow a rhythm, opening multiple views. An occasion to perceive the house as dynamic and cozy, like a new dress overlapping the pre-existence as a space to be invented.
