The architectural studio 2A+P\/A<\/strong> presents the exhibition Disegni e progetti <\/i><\/strong>at Antonia Jannone<\/strong>\u2019s historical architectural gallery on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in Milan. It is a collection of projects, images, illustrations, and photographs that demonstrate the studio\u2019s poetic research in the gallery space. Each work on display in the exhibition investigates other projects, with the aim of establishing architecture as a form of collective knowledge. The two partners, Gianfranco Bombaci<\/strong> and Matteo Costanzo<\/strong>, explore the potential of architectural design through a non-philological sampling of references from different disciplines such as objects, paintings, buildings, sculptures, and textures. In this way, architecture becomes simultaneously an instrument of research to understand reality and a way to give space and shape to the collective rituals of our days.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThis exhibition represents our Chamber of Wonder, and is composed of two distinct nuclei of work. The first is a carefully selected group of works, made by other artists over time, which we have thoughtfully collected and who we present here in a totally reworked sequence of drawings, taking them out of their original contexts and gathering them together for once to form an idea of architecture. The second is a selection of some of our projects that have explicitly drawn directly from this universe of references: sometimes trying to reinterpret some of the atmospheres, other times simply to reconstruct formal assonances\u201d.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The layout of the gallery is organized through the juxtaposition of two bodies of works. A wall hosts a unitary work, entitled “36 drawings”, developed for the first Orleans Biennale and commissioned by the Frac Centre-Val de Loire. The opposite wall, instead, presents a selection of projects exemplifying the activities carried out by the studio in its ten years of activity: achievements, competition projects, exhibition pavilions, and installations.<\/p>\n

During the course of the exhibition, a talk on the theme of the role and value of architecture design today will be organised in the gallery spaces.<\/p>\n
