More and more, year after year, thousands of people come to Milan during the Design Week. Indeed, this is an unmissable event for those who are keen on architecture, design and art but not only. During\u00a0the Milan Design Week, the city is\u00a0livelier\u00a0than ever and especially this year thanks to the contribute of many Italian institutions, international sponsors and to the collaboration of many creative figures.
\nThe\u00a0result has been so excellent to establish a global record of 434 people visiting Salone<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Fuorisalone<\/strong><\/a>.
\nArea editorial staff\u00a0has selected those that were particularly worthy,\u00a0and summed up their characteristics in order to explain\u00a0why it was a good idea to go.<\/p>\n

During Fuorisalone 2018,\u00a0Alcova<\/strong>\u00a0opened the doors of one of Milan\u2019s most historic panettone factories to the public for the first time. For the duration of Design Week, the complex\u2019s vast spaces – partly taken over by plants and vegetation – hosted new projects by designers, institutions, galleries and companies working at the avant-garde of themes such as contemporary living, design culture, materials and technological innovation.
\nAlcova is a project by Space Caviar<\/strong><\/a> e Studio V\u00e9det<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and regarding the partecipants, it included experimental collectives such as Better Known As, established names of the design sphere such as Gijs Bakker, and designers working with materials research such as Buro Bel\u00e9n, practices working with the Italian tradition of craftsmanship such as Bloc Studios and Architetti Artigiani Anonimi. Work will also be presented by renowned international institutions such as Z33 and studios conducting research into anonymous design such as Nanban.<\/p>\n\n
