As a recognition of its successful combination of clear and honest construction and careful treatment of natural light, the Institute of Architects of Madrid recognized this building the Luis M. Mansilla 2016 award. The architects worked on the concept and design of the fa\u00e7ade\u00a0and carried out a passive solar protection analysis in order to optimise the entry of natural light into allowed the architects to shape a continuous glazed fa\u00e7ade concept on the inside, supported on the outside by a steel rib sequence with an equal distance between each rib that not only supports the windows, but also acts as an efficient system of sunshades.\u00a0The result is an inverted stick system curtain wall which is able to withstand large wind loads caused by tropical storms, connected to a system of elastic joints and gaps between components in order to withstand seismic movements.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_33229\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-33229\"
