The thirteenth edition of Ortinparco, the festival dedicated to everything that makes garden and issues related to it, will\u00a0be held in Levico Terme, in Valsugana – Trentino, April 22 to 25, in the picturesque setting of the historic Park Terme. The symbol of the of Levico Terme, the Habsburg park, created in the early ‘900 when Levico Terme was the\u00a0favorite holiday destination of the Austro-Hungarian nobility, covers an area of \u200b\u200b12 hectares and it is home to majestic trees of native and exotic species.
\nReproducing\u00a0memory of culture and cultural traditions, the initiative will\u00a0renew creatively peasant and artisan wisdom, with the aim of bringing the garden on a complex nobility plan.<\/p>\n
The theme for 2016 will be legumes.<\/strong> Ortinparco, organized by the Servizio per il sostegno occupazionale e la valorizzazione ambientale della Provincia autonoma di Trento, provides about thirty creative installations and interpretations of vegetable\u00a0gardens, exhibitions, trade and sale of garden plants, horticultural plants and products derived and processed by nurseries and farms. The rich cultural program offers original educational and creative workshops for children and adults. There will be spaces dedicated to seminar activities, musical and theatrical moments. The conversion from animal protein to vegetable ones involves greater energy efficiency, improvement of soils, water savings and greater social equity. The ornamental plants sector also uses manys species of legumes.<\/p>\n
