Samba pays homage to the magic of South American rhythm, passion and sensuality \u2013 its design being inspired by the principle of the maracas. Just like maracas, the shakers become musical instruments when in use, and their alluring curves beg to be touched. The shakers are available in three variations: salt and pepper, salt and chilli, or sugar and cocoa. Each shaker is traditionally handcrafted in fine bone china by one of the oldest fine tableware manufacturers in Germany, and each set comes with two red and two black silicone rubber seals. She started her career as a graphic designer and illustrator for advertising agencies, publishers, and record companies in Germany and Switzerland. In 1997, grabbed by wanderlust, Ingrid left Germany to gather work experience abroad. Her design journey took her to various places such as Cape Town, London, Grand Cayman and Barcelona. In 2003 Ingrid has co-founded the London based interdisciplinary design studio <a href=\"http:\/\/www.absolute-appetite.com\" target=\"_blank\">Absolute Appetite ltd.<\/a> Ingrid recently graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with an MA Design (Ceramics) degree.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Samba spice shakers combine functionality and playful elegance.
