The project of this dwelling is the result of an attempt to meet the requirements of a client who wanted to build a home for himself and for his future family on a plot of reduced dimensions.
\nWe have added, to these requirements, our intention to find a solution characterized by a structural lightness, that would merge in terms of landscaping with the luxuriant vegetation characterizing the neighbourhood. This is why the development of the architectural project has proceeded since the initial phases of design and execution, in full harmony with all players involved.
\nThanks to the identification of engineering solutions that have enabled us to use tall and slender columns, the 13.3 cm diameter solid metal pillars give the volumetric composition an airy appearance, leaving the garden in full view, and giving the rooms a rarefied atmosphere in case the glass panels should be reinstalled. In order to achieve an integration between the interiors and the surrounding natural environment, we have preferred natural ventilation and illumination and the creation of an internal garden on the upper level. As these synergies have been respected since the early phases, it has been possible to adopt a shaft system for the concentration and distribution of the systems within the building. Apart from being technically efficient, this solution has allowed the creation of comfortable interiors that meet the standards of the building as a whole and the context of which it is part. Another aspect which has required a series of studies and the definition of prototypes has concerned the fencing and the necessity of protecting the building, the result of which has been reconciled to the lightness achieved on a structural level. The wooden panels surrounding and protecting the privacy of the living areas of the upper floor slab define the volumetry of the structure, which appears to flow into the movement of the self-same panels, protected by an ample and light cornice.<\/p>\n
