The project responds to the challenge of combining three different programs along Rue Stendhal in Paris: social housing, a kindergarten and an emergency center. The organization of the building allows all three programs to coexist peacefully and to take advantage of the unique features of the site. The nursery enjoys privacy and natural lighting, the social housing is independent and has large outdoor spaces, and the emergency shelter is organised so as to be compact and offer multiple views and orientations.

The courtyard, balconies, and homes are oriented to achieve the best angles of sunshine throughout the year. Each volume maintains a distance from the neighbouring condos and aims to blend consistently with the skyline of the neighbourhood and eastern Paris. The inward-facing façade opens onto the linear garden at the back of the building, which brings light and fresh air into the homes and nursery.
